Why is your Wagyu sent frozen rather than fresh?
Due to the perishable nature of our products, we ship all our Wagyu frozen (excluding our bacon and biersticks, which are sent chilled, and our jerky, which is shelf-stable).
Freezing our Wagyu stops the natural enzymes present from deteriorating its quality, as happens slowly over time with all chilled meat.
The freezing process also limits the growth of bacteria and microbes, reducing the likelihood of any foodborne pathogens developing.
